ABOUT ME

I had been losing my hair for about 10 years until I came across several hairloss-help websites on the internet. These sites, along with research, led me to Hasson and Wong in Vancouver, BC Canada. I had my 1st procedure with Dr. Victor Hasson in February of 2002. I had a 3000 follicular unit transplant which covered my head from the front right back to the crown. Against public opinion, I decided to have a 2nd procedure in May of 2003. This procedure allowed me to get over 2200 more grafts. Both procedures were painless and trouble free. I will be updating my 2nd site as I get new pictures.

MY TREATMENT

1st Hair transplant in February of 2002, 2nd procedure May of 2003. I am taking Propecia (1/4 Proscar)once a day and Minoxidil 5% twice a day Wash-rinse-repeat. Towel-it-rack-it-schtack-it-schmack-it-on-the-bing-bong. .

Here's a shot of the top of my head. You can see where the transplanted area is still pink. It gets more intense right at the hairline where the grafts are tightly packed. The pink will fade after a couple more weeks.

Top view before
This is the area (before surgery) where Dr. Hasson added an additional 1869 grafts. You can "see through" the hair here, But after the new hair grows and matures it should look quite thick.

Crown view before
This area (before shot)is where Dr. Hasson placed 350 single hair follicular units. I just wanted to "fluff things up" a bit.

Front view before 2nd HT
Here's a shot of the front prior to 2nd surgery. Shaving the hair down allows the surgeon to have a better idea of the angle in which to make incisions, however it is not necessary to buzz...

Side view before 2nd surgery
Side view prior to surgery- Looks good, but could be thicker...

Got zoom?
Un-necessary close up!!!! Prior to 2nd surgery

Got Zoom 2...?
More zoomage... Prior to surgery

Top after surgery
Here's what 1869 fu's look like fresh out of surgery. Didn't feel a thing...

Side after surgery
Side shot after 2nd surgery

Results of my first procedure
Well- My second journey begins here. This is a 14 month picture of my 3000 graft crop. Looks great- But I just want that "little bit extra"...

Crown at 8 days post op
Here's the crown area where 350 fu's were placed.

I drew some arrows to show where we stopped with 1869 grafts. It should balance out since I had more hair from there-back in the first place. Notice the slight difference in color- Pink to white...

Top after 4 months (2nd HT)
Notice the see through look from 1st HT is fading.

Hairline 4 months (2nd HT)

Full face 4 months (2nd HT)
Natural looking hairline- My compliments to Dr. Hasson. Literally: My hat's off to you, Sir!

4 month Crown close up

4 month top filling in the gap from 1st HT
Left is the top/front of my head 4 months after my 2nd surgery, and right is the top/front prior to my 2nd surgery. I had good coverage on the right from my 1st surgery, But still "see though".

4 month top filling in the gap from 1st HT
Left is the top/front of my head 4 months after my 2nd surgery, and right is the top/front prior to my 2nd surgery. I had good coverage on the right from my 1st surgery, But still "see though".

4 month top- 60% more density yet to come!
Left is the top of my head 4 months after my 2nd surgery, and right is the top prior to my 2nd surgery. I had good coverage on the right from my 1st surgery, But still "see though".

4 month hairline- 2nd HT vs. 1st HT
Left is my hairline 4 months after my 2nd surgery, and right is my hairline before my 2nd surgery. Notice that the left has a "see through" look. And at 4 months, I have 40% density- More to come!

4 month side view-
Left is my hairline 4 months after my 2nd surgery, and right is my hairline prior to my 2nd surgery. More density from 2nd HT allows me to start growing my hair longer.

Call Batman!
Wasn't Flat-top a bad guy on Batman? Check out that view though- I almost nodded off a couple times looking at it. Well- in between DVD's anyway...
